En port er identificeret med portnummer, og der er specifikke porte til forskellige typer af kommunikation eller dataudveksling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hvordan fungerer det<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e5r man skal kommunikere over et netv\u00e6rk, har man brug for at vide, b\u00e5de hvem man skal kommunikere med og hvordan. Denne kommunikation foreg\u00e5r i de fleste tilf\u00e6lde over internetprotokollen og betyder, at man skal kende IP-adressen p\u00e5 den, man skal kommunikere med.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Udover IP-adressen skal man ogs\u00e5 vide, hvilken port man skal kommunikere p\u00e5. Samlet kalder man protokol, ip-adresse og portnummer for en socket. Ved at anvende specifikke og velkendte portnumre til bestemte services kan man have systemer til at st\u00e5 og lytte efter foresp\u00f8rgsler p\u00e5 disse specifikke porte og v\u00e6re klar til at svare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For eksempel kan man se p\u00e5, hvad der sker, n\u00e5r man indtaster <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hackerspillet.dk\">www.hackerspillet.dk<\/a> i browserens adressefelt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">F\u00f8rst vil browseren sl\u00e5 DNS-adressen op, s\u00e5 den kan f\u00e5 IP-adressen, som <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hackerspillet.dk\">www.hackerspillet.dk<\/a> befinder sig p\u00e5. Derefter vil den fors\u00f8ge at skabe en TCP-forbindelse til IP-adressen p\u00e5 port 80, da der er tale om en www-server, og den derfor vil fors\u00f8ge med http-protokollen. Serveren p\u00e5 den kaldte adresse vil, hvis forbindelse oprettes, levere et en hjemmeside i HTML eller XML.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spillet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I spillet er porte en m\u00e5de at tale om point, liv eller energi. Alle handlinger koster porte, og ligeledes kan andres handlinger (angreb) koste porte. Man bruger portoversigten til at have overblik over, hvor mange porte man stadig har \u00e5bne. De enkelte porte har ikke en s\u00e6rlig funktion i forhold til kortene i standardspillet, men det kan jo v\u00e6re, at nogen udvikler nye kort, der angriber eller m\u00e5ske permanent lukker bestemte porte.
